After the success of their first collaboration bringing Grant Nelson, Lady T, Hannh Khemoh & Anna-Marie Johnson to Milton Keynes premiere venue Unit. Just House & Bedfunk are planning their second collaboration.
This time brining you another stone cold legends in Mr Richard Earnshaw a co-founder of the iCulture brand, Duffnote & Guess label and one half of the Sprit Chaser production outfit. Richard has been responsible for many many classics and is still producing stand out music that is cutting edge and diverse from soulful to deep emotive house music. His tunes are smashing all the house charts at the moment and he is constantly being played by a certain Jamie Jones on his weekly Hot Robot show. That is all without even mentioning his many years behind the decks and the main reason we wanted him to come and share his talents with us. We will posting up some of our favourite songs of his to get you in the mood.
Our other headliner is none other than Milton Keynes favourite Glenn Woods. Glenn was one of the first DJ’s in Milton Keynes when the scene exploded and not only being known for his tough US garage style playing for the brands that predated Bedfunk as a resident DJ. Strictly Music, Spank events. Glenn also played at Ultra Vegas honey I shrunk the Kids, the legendary Stush events and many events up and down the Country and was one of the pioneers of the UK speed garage explosion. His Dub-plate produced by Zed Bias I feel good went on the be a chart hit reaching No25 in the UK chart. Glenn was also the owner of Local record store Phat Beats, which become the hub of the emerging house scene in Milton Keynes. Glenn is a hero of both owners of Just House and Bedfunk and is someone we could not wait to bring to our stage to share his amazing knowledge and passion for music with you. A true Milton Keynes legend, who now lives in Brighton it feels like the prodigal son has come home.
Alongside our residents Pat Bedeau and Andy Black we are bringing you another Milton Keynes talent in Jodie Erica.
Jodie Erica is a local singer song writer also known as Soulbaby. Like the name she is a lover of all things soulful, with influences from R&B, indie pop & Neo-Soul. She has many of her own productions and features in her own video’s but where she really shines is live. Her first collaboration she wrote, Set You Free with Pat Bedeau on Bedfunk went to the top of Traxsource Soulful house Chart and into the top ten on the main chart. She truly has a talent for writing songs that connect with people.
