Bedfunk are pleased to welcome back George Sida for his second release on the label. His first release with us, Beautiful lady was warmly received, reaching no.5 of the Traxsource Chart. George even performed it Live at the Bedfunk label party at Unit 9 with Richard Earnshaw and Glenn Woods headlining.
The South coast singer recorded Summertime in the same session as Beautiful Lady, which was a much deeper affair and shows his versatility in writing this feel good summer time jam. George could be writing about his hometown Bournemouth and the sights and sounds of the stunning Sandbanks or any beach around the world. We just felt we had to release this while the sun is shining as a soundtrack to Summer. Talking of sound tracks the music for this one is complements beautifully with live Rhodes, Bass and guitar to bring the track to life. The drums brings the vibes and keep the track grooving and swinging as you come to expect from Pat Bedeau. Tinges of disco vibes and beautiful instrumentation from Ziggy Funk make this a standout soulful groove. Perfect for chilling by the pool, on the beach or on any discerning dance floor.
